Just a few examples…
Raw Materials Re-manufacturing: ReValue took over a large inventory of plastic raw materials that were normally recycled by the company. ReValue was able to achieve a higher than average return on the goods above regrind values. ReValue developed a product line, coordinated manufacturing, packaged and marketed the product through wholesale distribution.
Waste Product Turns to Source of ReValue: Manufacturing waste by-products were creating a recycling expense for a regional company. ReValue developed a market for the company to turn this product into a source of revenue through a non-traditional market. This reduced the manufacturing company’s costs and environmental exposure and also created a “green” source of cash.
Manufacturing Concern turns prototypes into cash: A manufacturing company had extensive inventories in prototype materials annually. ReValue developed an auction market to remove the inventory from the warehouse and turn it into cash.
Liquidators problems turned into a product: Quite often, ReValue’s work is done at the end of normal processes that are used to extract the value from assets. ReValue works with large liquidators of inventory and assets in the final stages of the deal to extract value from the items that are the hardest to turn into cash. ReValue worked with a large liquidator to take the final 20% of a multi-million dollar liquidation and turn it into a value-added product through re-manufacturing, re-packaging, and re-marketing.
Re-packaging is often a critical component to brand protection: ReValue worked with a major liquidator to repackage an inventory that was part of large legal dispute. The parties who originally co-branded a product in their marketing efforts required defacing of over 600,000 inventory items prior to re-marketing.
Computer glitches in JIT manufacturing can lead to costly mistakes: Revalue successfully repackaged and re-marketed an inventory created by a computer problem at a manufacturer that services one of the largest catalog and internet retailers in the United States. This inventory was repackaged and re-marketed while protecting the integrity of the manufacturer and the brand image of the catalog/internet retailer.
